The VTCT (ITEC) Level 5 qualification in Advanced Blemish Removal is for non-medics & medics teaching learners the knowledge, client care and safety in this advanced non-medical aesthetic treatment.
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 5 qualification in Advanced Blemish Removal consists of 4 core modules:
1) Principle & practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies:

- The benefits and limitations of commonly available non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Importance of professional conduct in non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Key regulations, legislative influences and responsibilities relating to non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced contra-actions, hygiene issues and medical emergencies of specific concern to non-medical aesthetic therapies
2) Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Effective communication and professional behaviours and how these contribute to client trust
- Methods and processes for gaining information through consultation
- Importance of completing a thorough consultation
- Legal requirements for completing consultation
- Information required when completing a consultation
3) Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Physiology of skin ageing
- Advanced skin assessment
- Prepare for advanced skin assessment
- Provide advanced skin assessment
4) Provide advanced blemish removal treatments
- Know safety considerations when providing advanced skin blemish removal treatments
- Understand how to provide advanced skin blemish removal treatments
- Know the relevant anatomy, physiology and pathologies for advanced skin blemish removal treatments
- Be able to consult, plan and prepare for treatment
