On completion of this unit, learners will:

• Know safety considerations when providing removal or fading of tattoos
• Understand how to provide treatments to remove or fade tattoos
• Know the relevant anatomy, physiology and pathology for removal or fading of tattoos
• Be able to consult, plan and prepare for removal or fading of tattoos
• Be able to provide treatments to remove or fade tattoos

• Learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, and health and safety pertaining to level 5 non-medical aesthetic therapies.
• Develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing laser tattoo removal treatments.
• Develop their communication and customer service skills and widen their knowledge of the principles and practices of non-medical aesthetic therapies, all of which are valued highly by employers.

Learners who hold a Level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent will be able to access the Level 4 laser and IPL qualifications as a natural progression route.

Level 4 laser and IPL qualification to progress onto level 5 tattoo removal. Learners who hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent will be able to access the level 4 laser and IPL qualifications as a natural progression route.
