Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

These qualifications will qualify learners to become junior beauticians/beauty specialists, and allow learners to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or a real working environment without the need for fee-paying clients.

Specifically designed for the 14-16 age groups

It will develop the knowledge and skills to prepare learners for employment as a junior beautician/beauty specialist. Learners will have their beauty therapy skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.

Includes all the required elements to work effectively as a junior beautician/beauty specialist including: facial skin care, application of make-up, providing manicure, pedicure and nail art services.

The learner will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, and client care and communication.

Develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification to help the learner on their designated career pathway as a junior beautician/beauty specialist.
