Who is this qualification for?
The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add skin rejuvenation to their repertoire of treatment offerings.
What does this qualification cover?
This qualification is informed by employers, providers, and has been designed to meet the guidance provided by professional and regulatory bodies. It includes all the required elements to work effectively as a skin rejuvenation practitioner. Learners must achieve all mandatory units, which encompass the competencies and standards outlined by professional and regulatory bodies, ensuring practitioners can evidence their competence, commitment to public safety, and adherence to agreed standards of practice. This qualification also integrates the professional and regulatory bodies guidelines for skin rejuvenation procedures, emphasising professionalism and health and safety.
Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include:
- Principles, practices and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
- Consultative techniques in advanced aesthetic therapies
- Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
- Provide skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
- Provide superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation
- Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4, non-medical aesthetic therapies. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing skin rejuvenation treatments.
What could this qualification lead to?
The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in the advanced non-surgical aesthetic industry providing skin rejuvenation. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications within the higher-level beauty suite.
