When you opt in to receive SMS from us, we collect your mobile number, opt-in method and timestamp, source (e.g., web form, checkout, keyword), delivery status, engagement signals where supported, and opt-out events (e.g., “STOP”). Messages may include promotional offers, updates, reminders, service notifications (e.g., booking/course alerts), and surveys.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Provide and operate the Services (accounts, orders, courses, bookings, support).
  • Communicate with you, including service/transactional messages (receipts, policy updates, security alerts).
  • Send marketing you’ve asked for or that we may lawfully send (email and SMS about products, services, offers and events).
  • Personalise and improve the Services, including analytics, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Administer promotions (contests, surveys, events) and deliver rewards.
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse, secure our Services, and protect our rights.

  • Contract — to provide the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests — improve and secure the Services, prevent fraud, or send marketing about our own similar products/services to existing customers (subject to PECR and your right to opt out).
  • Legal obligation — tax, accounting, compliance.
  • Vital interests — rare emergencies.

If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

6. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Service providers: hosting, payment, email/SMS delivery, analytics, customer support, event management, marketing tech acting under our instructions.

7. YOUR MARKETING CHOICES (EMAIL & SMS)

Email marketing

We send marketing emails if you’ve opted in, purchased from us (soft opt-in under PECR), or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe anytime via our emails or by contacting us.

SMS/text marketing (and service alerts)

  • By providing your mobile number and opting in (e.g., ticking a box, submitting a form, replying “YES” or completing a double opt-in), you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from Best You Training and related Best You brands.
  • Message frequency: varies (0–8 msgs/month typical). Message & data rates may apply.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP to any message, or contact us to opt out.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message.
  • We may use an SMS delivery provider to manage preferences and delivery/engagement data.

Intra-group marketing & future migration to Best You Solutions

With your consent (or where permitted by soft opt-in), we may send marketing about Best You Training and sister brands of Best You Limited (e.g., Best You Solutions, Best You Products, Best You Merchants, Best You Beauty, Best You Prescribers). If we transfer or consolidate our subscriber lists to Best You Solutions for a unified program, we will honour existing consents, give notice, and provide simple opt-out options for any channels or brands you no longer wish to hear from.

If you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-promotional service messages (orders, course info, safety notices).

8. RETENTION OF YOUR DATA AND DELETION

  • Accounts, orders & courses: up to 6 years after last transaction.
  • Marketing (email/SMS): while subscribed and briefly afterwards to ensure opt-outs are honoured.
  • Support tickets: generally up to 3 years after closure.

We may retain limited data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We primarily store data in the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred outside (e.g., to the US), appropriate safeguards (such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK IDTA) are applied.
